Marisa Pushee is an artist, educator and writer based in Olympia, WA. Originally from Massachusetts, she received her BA from Hampshire College. Marisa went on to complete an MA degree from California College of the Arts in Visual and Critical Studies as well as an MES degree from The Evergreen State College. Much of her visual work stems from her career working with wildlife, including her role as a caregiver and researcher with the gorillas Koko and Ndume. Marisa currently serves as a Conservation and Animal Care Specialist at Wolf Haven International.
